October 31 the Blanton Museum of Art broke ground on Ellsworth Kelly’s Austin, with Overland Partners serving as the architects on the project. To celebrate this momentous project the Blanton hosted a panel of nationally recognized Kelly scholars—Gavin Delahunty (Dallas Museum of Art), Carter Foster (Whitney Museum of American Art), Tricia Y. Paik (Indianapolis Museum of Art), and Richard Shiff (The University of Texas at Austin)—who shared an insightful range of perspectives and all mentioned the international significance of Austin and what an important part of Kelly’s legacy it will become.
